The back page of my brochure has a few handy tips on what to wear to the Sinulog Festival, which mostly encourages a fail-safe shorts-and-sneakers combination and some form of protection from the sun. But what if you want to party in something more exciting than that? In the midst of the revelry, I went around snapping photos of random Sinulog-goers who were able to strike that delicate balance between looking good and staying comfortable. Their stylish ensembles made me feel bad for sticking to the guidebook recommended outfit (which is why you will not find any photos of me here), and I swore to myself that I will do better next year. Without further ado, here are my favorite outfits from Sinulog:

I miss my Cebu! I got back last Wednesday just as all the Sinulog festivities were starting. I love how Cebuanos pay more attention to fashion now, I mean sure, comfort is still a staple but like the photos above I love how they put quirky details and play with the way clothes fit. Looking forward to your Sinulog coverage post (if you do make one ;])!
I wish I saw you during the street parade, Lauren! :D But apparently you were in Mango Ave. and I was at Fuente OsmeƱa area. :) Hope you had fun!
Cool :) street fashion photography! It’s like a local Coachella!
