A couple of weeks ago, my friend Mikey ditched the corporate world to pursue his passions in design, art, and photography. Not long after acquiring his new freedom, he launched We Are Shapeshifters, a brand that offers edgy neutrals and one-of-a-kind streetwear. This is the place to check out if you’re into unique neutral tops, drapey silhouettes, or if you’re on the search for interesting pieces to spice up your wardrobe. Mikey just took snaps of his first collection last weekend and I suggest you check them out and get what you like while they’re still available! Every item is carefully handmade and there’s only one piece per design. Prices start at P550.

I love the sheer center on this top, it’s so sexy! If I weren’t so self-conscious about my distended tummy I’d get this in a heartbeat. I have no modesty to speak of and wouldn’t mind a top that showed off my bra.

For me, the best part of this collection are the handmade chain harnesses, which Mikey first wore at Philippine Fashion Week. I think he was encouraged to create and sell different designs after receiving numerous compliments from strangers. The basic harness (first) is priced at P400 while the rest is P600. As with the clothes, there is only one piece per design. I wanted to buy the third harness, but then Mikey offered to make me a custom piece. Yays!
