Dinner Date at Hollywood Steakhouse

My boyfriend and I love to eat, so I didn’t hesitate for a second when Kath invited me to try out this awesome restaurant she currently works for. Hollywood Steakhouse is located in the hilly Antipolo, which was a refreshing change from the restaurants we usually go to in the city. Also, it’s steak. After being in a relationship with a vegetarian for the better part of a year, I relish each and every steakhouse Marco and I dine at.

I’d been itching to try the Milea mineral makeup samples I got from Edilee of All Organics, and the opportunity presented itself when I noticed that one of the eyeshadow colors complements my periwinkle top. It was my first time to use mineral eyeshadow and I was worried that the pigments would fly all over my face. Thank God my eyeshadow brushes from my Suesh brush set are the stiff kind – perfect for applying loose eyeshadow. As you can see, there was absolutely no fallout!

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Milea mineral eyeshadow in Very Blue
Urban Decay eyeshadow in Oil Slick
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Maybelline Cat Eyes Mascara

Face:
Ellana foundation in Cinnamon Latte
Milea mineral foundation in Almond (used as finishing powder)
Milea mineral blush in Sienna

Lips:
Nyx round lipstick in Perfect

I’ll post my review of Milea minerals in a couple of days. Stay tuned!

Yes, I’m one of those girls whose eyeshadow color has to match (or at least be color-coordinated with) her clothes.

Strapless tunic top: Black and White Style
Gray lacy tights: Topshop
Heels: Tonic from The Ramp

After last week’s lengthy photoshoot with Mimi and Karl, these heels feel a lot more comfy, like we’ve been through a lot together. I did stand in them for two hours after all! I love how I look in heels, but I hate wearing them for too long.

My recap of dinner and dessert can be found at the food blog, but I thought I’d share the photos of our main course. I had the Pepper Rib-Eye Steak – it’s literally covered in crushed peppercorns, which I loved, but don’t order this if you’re on a first date and feeling very self-conscious. The black pepper bits tend to get caught in between teeth.

The boyfriend got the Western Porterhouse Steak, which was very tasty and juicy on its own. You know a steak is excellent when you can eat it without smothering it in sauce.

I highly recommend that you check out Hollywood Steakhouse, especially if you’re getting tired of eating at the same old restaurants in malls. The steaks are great, the prices are reasonable, and you can even go stargazing at the nearby Seven Suites Hotel if their in-house astronomer is around. If not, you can enjoy the glittering city lights from Sugar, the coffee shop at Seven Suites.

I thought you used Alice for your blue eyeshadow, and I was supposed to copy our make-up using that. Lol. I really don’t know what to do with blue eyeshadow.

I have one Milea eyeshadow (in dark purple) and I love how pigmented it is. It also stays longer, even without a primer. I’ll wait for your review before getting a new color or two :) Btw, I love the heels :)

Your make up with the bright red lipstick make you look like a cheap prostitute… my honest opinion.. sorry! it was UGLY.

Has it ever occurred to you that maybe the “cheap prostitute” look is exactly what I was going for? As for it being “ugly”, clearly you’ve never experienced the transformative power of red lipstick for yourself. How unfortunate.
