“What am I going to wear?” was the first question on my mind when Vince and Hannah invited me to be a guest on their talk show, Tek Tok (Tech Talk) TV. You know how the camera is said to add ten pounds to your body? This holds true for me. No matter how much I diet or exercise beforehand, DSLRs and video cameras make my face look and body look rounder than it really is. I never know what to wear for TV appearances, save for an all-black outfit. But meh, black is boring and the only black dress I have has an extremely low neckline.

So after going through my closet, I spotted a patchwork-print jacket I bought in a garage sale several years ago. The girl who sold this to me is a true shopaholic with her own personal shopper in New York; she shops so much that she had boxes and boxes of never-worn and barely-worn clothes. This jacket is a genuine vintage item that cost quite a bit of money, but it was so worth it. It fits me perfectly and the bohemian print is so me. Generally speaking, busy patterns and bright colors won’t make you look slimmer on TV, but this jacket is the exception because of the fitted waist and broad shoulders. I don’t know if it really did make me look slimmer on TV but hey, at least I look good in the pictures!

Jacket: garage sale
Top: H&M
Jeans: Levi’s Modern Vintage
Pumps: Nine West

What was I doing on a TV show about technology, you ask? Well, this week’s episode was about beauty and fashion on the Internet. Liz and I were invited to talk about Ukay Manila and our blogs.

Bambi was there too!

And so were the girls behind Glambox Cosmetics, who demonstrated how to use airbrush makeup on Hannah. Seeing them again reminded me that I still haven’t worked up the nerve to use the Glambox airbrush kit I won during their event.

I think Vince felt a little left out that day.

The show aired live yesterday morning but they’ll be providing us with a YouTube video in a couple of days. Stay tuned for that! Meanwhile, you can catch Tek Tok’s other episodes every Wednesday, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am on the Global News Network (channel 21 on Destiny Cable).

Galing! Congratulations! :)
OH WOW! I am in LOVE with that blazer, as in my jaw-dropped the moment I saw it. If you can ever be persuaded to sell it, I’m first in line okay? Haha!
