While taking a break from work, I opened up my Facebook and spotted a colorful sale banner at the top of my feed. Hoping for a fantastic bargain, I clicked on it, only to discover that this bargain comes at a rather shocking price. Renegade Folk, one of my favorite local shoe stores, is closing shop and they’re holding a huge closing sale to thank all their loyal customers. I was genuinely saddened to discover this. Not only does Renegade Folk sell the comfiest, prettiest leather shoes in the world, but their customer service is fantastic and I’ve never been able to find their designs anywhere else.
The closing sale banner was accompanied by the following caption:
Now that we are moving on to the next chapter of our lives, all of us from Renegade Folk would like to thank you, our customers, for all the love, support and ‘likes’ you have given to us over the years. :) All of our shoes are now available from Php 499 to Php 1,499. Thank you again, we couldn’t have done it without you!!
My very first pair of Renegade Folk shoes were these gorgeous cognac heels that sold out very quickly.
Then they came out with The Lucky Ones penny loafers, which I fell madly in love with. Although it took a lot of walking to break them in, they eventually stopped chafing at my heel and now they are among my favorite pair of flats. I don’t know why I don’t have more outfit photos than these because I seriously wear them all the time:
It was with a very heavy heart that I sent in my last order form for a pair of white moccasin-style leather loafers. From P2,700 they are now priced at P999. I meant to get these on sale, but I had no idea I’d be buying them at a closing sale. :(
You can avail of the sale by visiting their website at renegadefolk.multiply.com. I’m very very tempted to hoard all the leather flats.
It’s weird, but I feel kinda devastated knowing that this is the last pair of Renegade Folk shoes I’ll ever buy. Sure, there are lots of trendy shoe stores on Multiply, but they usually carry made-in-China stuff, the kind where the parts are merely glued together. None of them offer well-made, genuine leather shoes like Renegade Folk does.
Farewell, Renegade Folk. You will be sorely missed. :(
